This cache was donated to us in 2018 by CoxandClan and it's their wording in the description: Welcome to our second family Geocache. This cache was hidden to mark Charlotte’s 15th birthday. We chose this spot because it is a favourite walk of ours and the children have spent many a happy hour paddling up and down the “canal” and Sasha and Tizzy (the boxers) have spent even more happier times splashing in the river. If you have come at low tide, come back at high tide and enjoy the fun of splashing around in the over flowing ditches, but remember your wellies!!
This cache can be approached from two different directions, depending on your energy levels. Both walks are easy and fairly level, suitable for children and dogs.
First choice: Park at co-ordinates N 57 42.848 W 003 16.749 at Lossiemouth Bay Caravan park. Proceed along the river path for approximately 2km to the co-ordinates. NB The path will be tricky and possibly impassable during a very high tide.
Second choice: park at co-ordinates N 57 41.884 W 003 15.447 and walk through the woods to the river. The cache is approximately 500m along the track.
