Geocache Description:

Decon container with log book and room for small trade items. BYOP. Prize for FTF.

Welcome to Fairview Cemetery, nestled in Shelby County. The oldest graves date back to the late 1800's and include a few Civil War veterans. Also notable is the grave of Granville A. Hayworth, a veteran of WWII who saw action at Normandy on D-Day.

It was interesting to come upon another marker honoring a member of the I.O.R.M. If you don't know what that is, a Google search will yield some interesting information about the oldest fraternal organization in the United States. This particular marker notes membership in the Papago Tribe No. 385 founded in Fountaintown in 1904.

As with all cemetery caches, please be respectful of the property. The cache is NOT located at a gravesite. Absolutely no night caching allowed.
