Shibata castle
In Shibata castle, it was constructed a castle about 400 years ago. These castles are piled up properly so that Ishigaki is engaged without a gap; "Kirikomihagi"; with the characteristic that equal, and is various make it.
The Shibata castle is chosen as "100 Japanese fine castles".

A public period: From April 1 to November 30 / from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
新発田城は、別名「あやめ城」とも呼ばれ、初代新発田藩主溝口秀勝(みぞぐちひでかつ)侯が慶長3年(1598年)に築城し、3代宣直(のぶなお)侯のときに完成しました。この城は石垣がすき間なくかみ合うようにきちんと積まれる「切込はぎ」など、様々な特徴を持った作りになっています。
また、「日本100名城」に選ばれています。
冬は公開されていませんので、注意してください。
