Ishallen byggdes helt ideellt och togs i drift till säsongen 2001/2002 lagom till 30-års jubileet av Nicklas Lidström Cup.
Nicklas Lidström skänkte 1 miljon till bygget och detta ledde till att NHLPA (National Hockey League Players Asociation) gjorde det samma. Passa även på att titta på fasaden som är i rostfritt stål donerat av Avesta Sheffield, numera Outokumpu Stainless. Om ni kommer under vintersäsongen passa på att gå in i hallen och titta på en match eller ta en kaffe och en korv, väl mött.

The cache contains log, pen and coins that are no longer valid due to the arrival of the Euro.

This arena was inaugurated for the season 2001/2002, in time for the 30:th anniversery of Nicklas Lidström Cup. Nicklas donated 1 milion SEK to the biuld and that lead to a matching doantion from NHLPA National Hockey League Players Asociation). Look a beautiful exterior donated by Avesta Sheffiled now Outokumpu Stainless. If you arrive during the hockey season take your time go into the arena look at some Hockey or just take a coffee and hot dog.

Skogsbo SK som driver sin verksamhet i hallen är en renodlad ungdomsklubb med ett undantag man har ett seniorlag för Damer som säsongen 2007/2008 spelade 8-dels final i SM-slutsplelet.

Skogsbo SK that is operating in this arena is a pure youth clud, with one exception, there is also a Ladies Team that reached the 1/8 game in the playoff for the Swedish national title.
