Cougar, Mountain Lion, Catamount, Panther, Puma.
This cache is dedicated to the fantastic morning I got a very good look at a beautiful Cougar at this very location.
Early on the morning of August 24th of 2008 as I drove up Hwy 4 to find a couple caches I was startled to see, full profile in the open an adult mountain lion standing looking at me at this fishing access. After 68 years, many of them working and playing in cougar country, but never seeing one of them, this was a fantastic treat! I got to watch it for several seconds before it vanished into the forest.
That image is permenantly etched into my mind.
