Geocache Description:

This cache requires a little more effort than Turbines 1. It is just off cycle route 63 along the Nene Way footpath, so there is plenty of wildlife about.

As you walk out along the path, you will see off across the fields, the four wind turbines visible from “Turbines 1” (visit link) , but, as you are on a raised bank alongside the river, you can, on a good day, see further off in the distance two more banks of turbines

Initially you must go to the co-ordinates given and find a large circular access cover. On the cover are a number of items which when used to decode the latitude and longitude, will give the location of the cache, which is about 2km away. I have deliberately placed this cache so that it is as close to the initial point as it is to the nearest point accessible by car on the opposite side. You will either have to walk, or take your bike.

The approaches to the cache are wheelchair and stroller accessible, but the cache itself is not, I'm afraid.

I would advise long trousers and possibly gloves as the area is “nettle heaven”. Bad for people, but great for butterflies and other insects.

The cache is a 35mm film canister with just a logbook and pencil.

Now for that final location; it is N52 (a-e)b.0eb W000 (c+d).0(a+e)d where

a = the number of nuts visible on the lid
b = the number of bolt heads visible on the hinges
c = the number of correctly formed rivets in the hinges
d = the number of incorrectly formed rivets in the hinges
e = the number of hinges.

Your total should equal 23.
