Black Bay Trail #2 Far Loop Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

robinvet: I am going to remove this cache. The trail is getting severely overgrown and visitation is extremely low.
I will leave Black Bay #1 in place.

Geocache Description:

Boat Access required to the Black Bay Hiking Trail on Lake Vermilion near Cook,MN Trail is a 2-mile loop.

The closest boat landing would be next to the Landing Restaurant on Lake Vermilion. We used a motor canoe but any type of boat will work. The Black Bay Hiking Trail was created by Michelle Triska for her girl scout Gold Award Project. This large undertaking required permission and support of Minnesota and St. Louis County and the help of her family and friends. Currently some beaver are felling trees over the north part of the trail, otherwise it is a fabulous place to see wildlife. Lake users have asked for more caches on Lake Vermilion so we are placing two on this scenic trail.
