Geocache Description:

This is a travel-bug hotel on an ancient historical place.
These 3 overheads of their countries planted 3 trees (Ulmen) which could be seen till the 1970s. But now the original trees are gone, they were replaced by 3 other trees.

Everybody knows: Tu felix austria nube!!

And this is the place where it all began.

Wiener Fürstentag (Kongress) 1515: Meeting with Kaiser Maximilians I. of Austria, Wladislaw of Bohemia and Hungary and Sigismund of Poland. On the 16th july 1515 they met on this hill and one day after that, they went to Vienna. From the 19th July till the 21st July they meeted at the Hofburg. Prince Ludwig of Ungarn was adopted from Maximilian I. and now he was the "Generalreichsvikar". 2 Wedding- Contracts were signed, one between Ludwig of Hungary and Maria of Austria, the other one between Maximilian (as substitute for his grandchildren Karl oder Ferdinand) and Anna of Hungary. If Karl or Ferdinand won't marry after one year, Maximilian himself will merry Anna.With the King of Poland Maximilan signed a Friendship and Peace Contract. Most of this Contracts were dated on 22. 7. 1515 , on which the Double -Weddig was celebrated. The Congress, which was much expensice as a little war, payed J. Fugger. This Success of Maximilans Wedding - policy was the basement for the Austrian raise to an european "Großmacht".
