Starting off in this cache is the Penelope Glean travel bug.
This cache was inspired by a story my mom use to tell my brother, sister and I when we were children. Taking a few characters from that story, Penelope Glean (Librarian) and two of her young friends, Ashley Moore and Sam Sung, I have started them on a new adventure.
As the name implies, we would like cachers to keep the story going. So if you feel so incline, write a sentence or two to continue the story. Let’s see what kind of adventures (or misadventures) these three get into……
At the town library in a small Cape Cod village, Penelope Glean was shelving the last book before breaking for lunch. Just as she was about to place the book on the shelf, a scrap of paper fell out and floated to the floor. Written on the scrap was a set of coordinates and two words, “Find Me”. With her curiosity peaked, Penelope retrieved the paper and set off to her favorite coffee shop for lunch.
Rereading the note as she entered the coffee shop, Penelope literally bumped into her young neighbor Ashley Moore and her friend Sam Sung. Helping Penelope back to her feet, Ashley asked, “You seem a little distracted, is everything okay?”
“Let’s grab some food and a table and I’ll tell you what I found.”
After see the coordinates written on the paper, Ashley and Sam began to tell Penelope about geocaching. Using their hand-held GPSs, they could help her find the location of the coordinates. The three agreed to meet the next morning to see if they could unravel the mystery of the note.
