Geocache Description:

The cache is a representation of my fiancé and me. Eric and I tried out geocaching for our first time last year and this year we really got interested in it. On August 19, 2008 Eric wanted to go geocaching at Homestead Hollow in Germantown. He told me that his friend gave him some coordinates to a great cache at the park. Eric told me that the cache wasn’t posted online yet, and that it was just word of mouth (which later didn’t make any sense to me).

It was a little rainy that day, but Eric still insisted that we go geocaching. I was having a little difficulty finding the spot because of tree cover, but Eric kept pointing out a big oak tree, (which afterwards I figured out why). Once we got to the spot there was a little box wrapped in black electrical tape. I opened the box and a diamond ring was inside. Eric got down on one knee and asked me to marry him.

The theme of this cache is “something old, something new, something borrowed, something BLUE.” The cache is big enough to put trinkets inside, but the rule is that the TRINKETS MUST BE BLUE.

I hope you’ll enjoy this park and much as Eric and I have.

You’re looking for a cammo tapped tin can.

UPDATE: We were married on September 12th, 2009 at Riveredge Nature Center.
