No puzzles. No multis. No catches. No steep hills. No gates. No stiles. No back-tracking. Just a series of thirteen fairly easy caches on a pleasant six mile stroll through central Wiltshire with panoramic views of the countryside.
We shall be archiving this series at the end of December 2019.
If you want to add it to your list of finds, now's the time to do it.
All the basic information about this series, including parking and a weather forecast, can be found at 01 Monument & Chimney.
In September 2010, we received a message from another cacher, madrab, to say that he had found the original cache, that had gone missing some time from December 09 to February 10, about half a mile from the correct location. When we retrieved it, we found several messages left by muggles.
"Found box, had a read, thought what a good idea."
"Came across this while walking and curiosity got the better of me."
"What a brill idea!!!"
"I found whilst on bike ride. Was almost too scared to open!!"
"Noticed this box whilst out on the bike. Couldn't resist opening it."
We wonder if any of them signed up to be cachers...
