Geocache Description:


This geo-cache is located at a historical site that few people know about. Around 1884 in Carbondale (now Silverado) a fight broke out between a couple of coal miners. The loser was shamed and he set out to take vengeance on the man and ended up killing the man's innocent father. The slayer was an Apache Indian who fled back to Arizona and was later captured and tried for his crime. The victim of this crime is buried at this location, a plain stone standing 3 feet high marks the spot. If you locate the geo-cache container, there will be a note explaining more details. There is a place for safe parking about 200 feet from the cache. Happy geo-caching. OC Man
