I want to say at the outset, I did not name this cache! Mr Winglen
and McPhan reached agreement on this name, leaving me outnumbered.
Blokes and their sheds...
This cache is placed near Luton's Crutching Shed, in the Naas
Valley in Namadgi National Park. Apart from the shed, there are
interesting remains of rustic yards of rough drop-log construction,
and sections of fencing. The views up the valley are delightful,
and if you go no further up the valley to the other caches, this is
a nice spot for a coffee and snack.
Watch out for the family of lizards that lives nearby. We placed
this cache late in the day, when the lizards had retired to a
crevice in the rocks. Not being fond of snakes, when I spotted
something scaly in the rocks I took a step back. On closer
examination though the snake had legs and there appeared to be more
than one. If you come here on a sunny day you may see them basking
on the rocks. Our cache was placed in the company of McPhan who
kept us company for the day up on Sentry Box Mountain, and we
placed this cache while on a great bike ride home as evening fell
along the valley. McPhan will log a find after the FTF.
