LCC 50th - Old Yeller Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

SuperGoober: After finding the “L7!'s 20,000th milestone cache” I checked on this Cache.
It was where it should have been so I searched the area and was not able to find it.
I am archiving this Cache to free up this location.

Squaw Creek Park
Due to its proximity to the Cedar Rapids/Marion area, Squaw Creek Park has become an increasingly popular destination for family outings or just an enjoyable drive through the park.
Squaw Creek meanders through the wooded hills and meadows of the park providing a beautiful view of the valley from the north end of the park.
This 663-acre park is a popular place to observe and enjoy many species of native Iowa plants and animals.
In addition, the wide variety of wildflowers provide ever-changing colors throughout the park.

Squaw Creek Park offers a variety of recreational facilities including picnic sites, a campground, a playground, two enclosed lodges and an open-air shelter for day-use outings.
The lodges and shelter are available by reservation for family gatherings, business outings and special events.
Meadowlark Shelter is a large, open-air shelter.
The Prairie Oak and Red Cedar Lodges are beautiful enclosed buildings that are available for reservations all year long.
The lighted sledding hill is directly adjacent to Red Cedar Lodge and is available for use by all park visitors.
