Geocache Description:

Monument Peak is south of Great Falls about 30 miles and is most easily accessed from the Logging Creek Road. The last 4 miles of trail require a 4x4 and should not be attempted in bad weather.

Leave Great Falls on US 87 heading toward Lewistown. Turn south on MT 227 toward Stockett. A couple of miles past Stockett take a left on the Evans-Riceville Rd (gravel). Stay on that road. Take a right onto the Lick Creek Road (forest service). At the end of the the Lick Creek Rd take a right on the Logging Creek Road. Take a right at the TRAIL to Monument Peak, follow the trail to the Fire Tower. Take a minute to look around. It is a Forest Service cabin and you can rent it by the night. The outhouse is just over the edge of the hill around the right side of the fire tower. Now, get out your GPS and take a short easy walk to the cache.
