The Red Lyon is a
quintessential English village pub, with lovely log fires, wooden
panelling, old oak beams and a huge family beer garden. The village
church is 100 yards away, and the village cricket pitch is 100
yards in front of the pub. Inside you will find warm (yet
smoke-free!) surroundings - with a heated terrace for smokers. Food
is served from 6:30pm and dogs are welcome in the bar but not in
the Restaurant area.
These monthly mid-week cache events in Sussex have been running
for a few months now and are gradually becoming solid fixtures in
the diaries of cachers across the South East. Attendences are
growing, with new cachers always particularly welcome. The events
are scheduled to take place on the third Wednesday of each month,
each time at a different location across Sussex and hosted by a
different cacher or caching team.
There are many existing caches in the area for those who can
arrive before the dark evening draws in. These include the "Sussex
Wheel" series, most of which are still in place. There's always
also a chance of a new cache being published nearby to provide some
additional amusement on the day.
