Geocache Description:

The purpose of this cache is to remind locals and to teach visitors about Livingston’s Blood Alley. The four way stop that you see east of the cache site was once the location of the only stoplight on Highway 99. This stoplight was a contributing factor for about 40 fatalities between 1976 to 1996, thus earning the name of a “Blood Alley.”

In December of 1996, the Livingston Bypass (that was promised in 1959) was finally completed. To see the infamous stoplight visit “A Short Stop in Livingston” by Radikal.

If you leave the cache site to the west (Winton Parkway Ramp), take special notice of the road as you go under the railroad tracks. This used to be the four lane Highway 99!

As the name of this establishment suggests, you are in the heart of Foster Farms country (can you tell by the smell?). If you happen to be here on a Thursday night, they serve all you can eat fried chicken.
