Geocache Description:

The hike isn't too long, But It's not for the weak of heart!

The cache you seek is in Sanctuary park in Laketown township.
The park is open 6am to dusk.
Dogs are welcome, But please keep them on a leash.

The coordinates take you to the stairs & where we start.
Try this one with out your GPS 1st, If you can't find it you here your unit to fall back on.
The Way point is the cache location.

Up 171, Three benches to take a rest. At the top take a compass reading and go at a heading of 220'or S/W to start our trek, passing a Gnome home on our left as we go, Follow the path to more stairs....Lucky for you this time they go down. 65 steps down, Stay on the path as you go the main path takes a sharp right, Don't go that way you'll have gone too far! Go strait, From between the two pillar like trees take 35 paces & go right the path will end very shortly into a sand dune trail, up you go, Again!
At the top take a break & enjoy the view. check your compass & turn and go 320' And up again. About half way up the bluff you'll come to a tree on your left. Real close now! Just 12 more steps up & over a down tree you're now at a tree stump, Stop & look around, To find what you seek find the tree with 4 trunks. The cache will be at the base.

After you make your find go back to the main trail and walk the trail all the way around the loop & enjoy the view.
In the winter you can see Eagles on the frozen lake below & Hawks & wood peckers in the trees above.

Please cover well. In the summer this is a high muggle area. And in the summer you might want to wear sandals so you don't have to dump the sand out of your shoes at the end of the hike!

Winter note: Stairs are very slick going down, hang on & slid down like I do. Sand dune trail is much easier in the winter.
