Located in the Great Mountain Forest at the end of Windrow Road in Norfolk, CT. Park at the gate without blocking it and sign in to enjoy these wonderful trails.
This cache is located about a mile from suggested parking, but could be done in conjunction with the "Old Man Mcmullen Pond" cache posted by Miles Stone. Parking from that side of the forest will make the trek to this one alot longer though {over a mile and a half}.
I discovered the Great Mountain Forest last year and was really intent on planting caches here, but poor Mr.Beefcake was injured and had problems making such long hikes. So i put it off until he got surgury and fully recovered. Now he's doing much better and we can finally get back to caching together!
There is some canoes here at GZ, and a campsite not far from
the pond. Cache is a medium sized, camoed lock-n-lock stocked with the usual items.
