Geocache Description:

Letterbox Hybrid Multi-stamp-cache; two handmade two-color stamps and an ammo box. Permission granted for this cache here.

The map-filled box is situated in a somewhat cleared canebreak on one edge of a grove of magnificent Water Oaks and Live Oaks. The playground is utilized frequently during school hours; so it's probably better to come after school or on weekends.

Actually used to hold a fuse rather than ammunition, the classic green box holds a variety of maps, including: digital elevation model (DEM) of Mississippi, landform studies of Gordon Creek, examples of Riverwalks and Creeklands in other cities, Otatoma Creek, Black Creek and assorted other places.

Original contents also include: log, pen, black and green ink pads, 3 tennis balls, Arkansas diamond, Santa Claus yo-yo, Alien Pez, Glow Frog. LED light, Myrtl The Anthropomorph Travel Bug, Son of Skinny cache critter and European coin for FTF.

IMPORTANT: In order to log this cache, you must also find BOTH stamps. In order to verify your find, you MUST print both stamps, in any colors and configuration you like, on a single page in the log book, sign and date it: one page per person. A Live Oak in the playground holds the horizontally-oriented Quercus virginiana stamp (view Gallery) The Live Oak stamp is placed relatively high as to keep kids from muggling it. See gallery for location of chairs, etc. that my be used to reach cache. If you do not feel comfortable reaching up to the height required, feel free to approximate that stamp using multiple applications of the other stamp. A huge Water Oak near the cache conceals the vertically-oriented Quercus nigra one, a newly cleared trail leads right to it.
