What's Wrong With Bromsgrove?
Do a google map search for caches and it a veritable blank page...and yet Bromsgrove and the surrounding area has some of the prettiest countryside, most interesting buildings and coolest history going for it.
A series of caches taking you to a few of the best bits in Bromsgrove and it's surrounds.
Blackwell calls fond memories for Scout's, cubs, beavers, Guides, Brownies and rainbows with the scouting centre and Pike's Pool.
Blackwell Methodist Church has fine examples of the work of Bernard Sleigh an artist who worked at the Guild Unfortunately it was bought by a private owner.
This quaint village seemed to me in childhood to be a mixture to me of 'Enid Blyton' and 'Readers Digest' by which I mean I wouldn't have blinked had I seen the houses illustrated in the books of either!
The small shop serves the village and refurbishment was part funded by a grant to assist the present lease-holders continue a vital service to villagers.
The station built in 1840 went in 1965 and it's station house is a private house now. There are many pretty footpaths around the village...but as this series was designed to wet your appetite with cache n dash this is a micro in the heart of the village.
Stealth is required. Please ensure the cache is replaced snapped tight shut and cannot be seen.
