I dare you to take the
Halloween 2008 Challenge. This cache is one of thirteen
caches in a series to celebrate Halloween 2008. Celebrate Halloween
to its fullest potential before it is overtaken by fall festivals
from the politically correct crowd. Our liking for Halloween has
nothing to do with Paganism or Satanism. It has to do with having
fun and enjoying life to its fullest.

Historic Highland Cemetery has a long history.
There are three known burials back in the woods. Word has it,
rituals are held in these woods where sacrifices HAVE to be made to
ward off the evil spirits.
For those interested, here is a link to
Friends of Highland Cemetery, an organization interested in the
preservation of the property.
Although this series of caches was meant to be
found at night, it is not a requirement for getting credit for this
cache. If you do this cache at night and you have an encounter with
law enforcement, be honest and fully explain what you are doing.
The Lakeville Police know about geocaching.
Please place the container back
EXACTLY as you found it or better. Placing it
back incorrectly will ruin the fun for the next cacher.
Happy Halloween to all of our fellow
geocachers.
The graves and monuments located back
in the woods ARE REAL. Do NOT mess with them please. Besides being
disrespectful it could also be a felony.
Some legend about why the three graves back in the woods.. first of
all, the woods weren't there when the burials took place. The
George Conway location is said to be caused by the fact that he may
have jumped in front of a train (suicide) and therefore wasn't holy
enough to be placed near the remaining population. The two other
graves are those of young children of which allegedly were never
baptised. Therefore, they too were not considered for burial near
the other predominantly Roman Catholic graves. I cannot confirm
whether any of this is true.
Don't forget to grab the secret
code.
