Geocache Description:

Cache is located by a small creek off the Wilalrd Munger Trail.

Home to Ernie Nevers, a member the Pro Football Hall of Fame.

Of all the records in the history of the National Football League, the one that has survived the longest was set on November 28, 1929, when fullback Ernie Nevers, scored every one of his team’s points (six touchdowns and four extra point conversions) in a 40-6 rout of the Chicago Bears.

He later played with the Duluth Eskomies. The Duluth Eskomies never had a home stadium which forced them to play every game as the vistor in away stadiums.

Ernie Nevers played also baseball and pitched agaisnt Babe Ruth.

He ended his carrer as coach with Chicago Cardinals.
