Geocache Description:

Plenty of free parking after 5 p.m. There is another lot available 100' to the west that is available 24/7

The cache is not at the posted coordinates but will instead bring you to a place with several choices to make. Much like in the movie that inspired this cache, if you make even one wrong turn, it could mean lights out.

The Start is a yellow fire tack. The path is marked with white reflectors. At various times you may encounter a set of 2 white reflectors. Cache seekers will want to search for additional coordinates nearby each set of double whites. Each subsequent restart will also begin with a yellow fire tack.

Cachers will want to bring strong flashlights and expect several long shots. A pen might come in handy too! You should NOT need any special footwear or other gadgets though.

This cache was inspired by the 2003 “B” movie Wrong Turn. It was not a huge success at the box office but quickly developed a cult following which spawned a later film Wrong Turn 2. Those of you who have seen the movie will know just how poorly one wrong turn can turn out.

Cachers will want to remain vigilant along the route, as reports of cannibalistic mountain men, grossly disfigured through generations of in-breeding, have been known to haunt these woods much like in the movie.

There are lots of twists and turns in these woods, but a savvy cacher should be able to navigate this route within one hour or less -- unless you make some wrong turns.

Please make sure to re-hide cache well, this place is crawling with people during the daylight hours and who knows what else at night.
