Hvor er Fyns
midtpunkt?
Mange har i tidens løb funderet
over hvor Fyns midtpunkt ligger, det ligger ikke på midtfyn, men
hvor ligger det så? I 2006 fik Fyens Stiftidende, Fyns Amts
arealafdeling til at komme med et bud og det blev
ved cachen

allerede i 1993 havde det fynske kunstnerkooperativ DK-KUNST i
anledning af deres 10 år jubilæum, fundet anledning til at ville
forære fynboerne noget kunst. og hvad var mere nærliggende end at
placere kunstværket på Fyns midtpunkt. Hvordan finder man så Fyns
Midtpunkt, kunstnerne brugte tyngdekraften. Man tog simpelthen et
stort Fyns kort, klippede alle øer og fjorde fra, derefter blev
kortet hængt op i kanten (Kystlinen) 10 forskellige steder. Kortet
blev hængt op med knappenål og hver gang kortet hang stille slog
man en lodret linie fra knappenålen og
ned.
Da de 10 linier var tegnet op,
krydsede alle linier hinanden på samme sted, nemlig på en bar mark
på Kratholmvej. Marken tilhørte Odense Kommune og skulpturen fulgte
med grunden der idag ejes af Fyns Dentel
Flere kunstnere fra DK-KUNST
havde forslag til hvilket kunstværk de skulle forære til fynboerne.
Det blev kunstneren Peter Tybjergs forslag der blev valgt,
Forslaget gik ud på at lave en toneskulptur som en hyldest til alle
de fynboer der har præget musikken gennem tiderne - Carl
Nielsen - med mange flere. Skulpturen skulle være interaktiv så man
ikke kun behøvede at "kikke på kunst" men selv kunne være
aktiv.
Skulpturen er er et
rørspil, afstemt i en 12-toners skala fra E'es til
E'es, samt 4 store rør til dybe toner. man kan spille en
melodi ved at slå på rørene med sten eller gren.

Funen?
Many
people have over time based over where the Funen center is located,
it is not at Middel Funen, but where is then? In 2006, Fyens

had the cooperative Funen artists DK-ART on the occasion of their
10 years anniversary, identified concerns that they would give the
people on Funen, some artwork, and what was more obvious than
putting the artwork on Funen center. How do we find the Funen
center, the artists spent gravity. They took simply a great
Funen Map, trimmed all islands and bays away, then the map was hung
up in the edge (Coastal Linen) 10 different places. The map was
hung up with a pin and each time the card hung steady,
they put a vertical line from the pin and down.
Since the 10 lines were drawn up,
crossed all lines together in the same place: on a green field on
Kratholmvej. The field belonged to Odense Municipality and the
sculpture came with the land and is now owned by Fyns
Dentel
Several artists from
DK-ART had a proposal for the artwork they were donating to the
people in Funen. The artist Peter Tybjergs proposals were selected,
the proposal was to create a tone sculpture as a tribute to all the
from Funen, which has dominated the music of all time - Carl
Nielsen - with many more. The sculpture should be interactive so
that not only have to "look at art" but even could be
active.
The
sculpture is made of pipes, aligned in a 12-toners scale from E'es
to E'es, as well as 4 large pipes to deep tones. You can play a
melody by turning on the pipes with stones or branch.
