Geocache Description:

This has become and most probably will always be the most memorable cache we have ever placed.

look

We jumped on the bikes and took the train to Burswood and rode to Heirisson Island. We went into the wildlife area, locked the bikes up and wandered around. It is really beautiful so many birds, so peaceful and tranquil. It is a beautiful area for a walk.

We walked around looking for the Kangaroos and saw one in the bush just having a lie down. So we got as close as we thought was OK not to scare the little gal and took heaps of photos.

Then we wandered away from it and then the next minute whilst standing there in the middle of the paddock, spying a place to hide our cache, the little Kanga comes bounding up to us.

So we were very excited that it obviously liked us and was happy as with us patting her whilst she checked out our smells. So lots of pats and lots more photos of us actually with the Kanga.

Then we wandered off again to finally hide the cache. We had spotted a place that we thought would be a nice safe place.
Only as we are preparing the final additions to the cache, selecting the right size etc, our little Kanga hopped on over and gave us a hand. He had a very good nose around at the items going in and then he even went over to the hiding spot which Gav and Matthew were checking out and getting co-ordinates to.

So of course this cache has been named for her.

So take the kids and enjoy yourselves, the wildlife is wonderful and it is right there Perth’s backyard. If your lucky our little Kanga will come up for a visit. If you ask her very nicely she may even tell you where the cache is, she knows the exact hiding spot and checked it all out.
help

Oh and for anyone concerned, there was no food in the bag for her to get. Feeding the Kangaroos on Heirisson Island is not allowed.

The car park is off the Causeway going South from the City.  Or you have even more fun catch the train to Burswood, cycle over to the Island and have a look around and then bike home. We biked home to Armadale, 34kms and I have to say it was a bit of a pain in the butt. So don’t do a big ride if you haven’t been riding awhile or you will soon learn what I mean.

Original Contents: Water balloon kit, bling, earring stickers, croc plugs, fire-flys, caching pins, inflating needles, muggle cards, key ring, glow sea life, hot wheels car, micro cache container.

Well done Chwiliwr who got the Signal Coin FTF Prize on the original co-ordinates for the short time it was published.

There is now a FTF prize of an unactivated ‘Save the Dolphins Geocoin’ for your collection or to set off traveling for the FTF on the new co-ordinates. Have fun.

PLEASE ensure you hide the cache well again. THANKS!
