Geocache Description:

This park has three looped trails. Be sure to give yourself enough time to walk all of them and enjoy the beauty Mother Nature has supplied!

This 140-acre parcel of land was purchased in 2001 from Harvey Laudenbach, who had grown up next door and purchased the property in 1950. He and his wife Adeline raised 13 children on the land. They were farmers, and raised crops, as well as horses, chickens and cows.
There are multiple springs along the south edge of the oxbow, which supplied water for the farm house. The water was also used during prohibition in the 1930s for moonshine, a still from which was found—along with a 15 gallon drum that had been buried in the dirt of the basement floor!
While you can no longer visit the farm to quench your thirst, you can satisfy your desire to visit wildlife, with the park hosting deer, beaver, and many other animals, as well as being part of the Mississippi Flyway, providing habitat for migrating and nesting birds.

Come out and to see one of St Cloud’s best kept natural secrets!
