Geocache Description:

Juan De Anza twice led a group across this part of the desert in order to find an overland route to Monterey. For more information, you will have to find the cache.

While in the desert, please be safe. Take time to plan your trip. Let someone know where you are going and when you will return, take lots of water and food, take a cell phone, take a signal mirror, and bring the right kind of vehicle. Off Highway Vehicles recommened. Ocotillo Wells is an advocate of responsible Off-Highway Motor Vehicle Recreation.
