La mallerenga petita (Parus ater) és una au que tot i aparentar ser fràgil, resisteix força bé dures condicions ambientals, i és bastant comuna a indrets muntanyencs.

La Ruta de la Mallerenga Petita, és una ruta ja creada dins del Parc Natural del Cadí-Moixeró, i està perfectament senyalitzada en tot moment. En aquest recorregut, es pot escoltar el cant de la Mallerenga Petita amb facilitat, veure'l pot resultar una mica més complicat. La ruta és curta i sense gaire desnivell, cosa que permet fer una passejada pel bosc i gaudir de grans vistes sense esforç. Aquesta ruta és circular, i a partir d'alguns dels diferents panells informatius que es van trobant, s'aniran extreien les dades per a poder trobar el cache final (no és recomanable obtindre aquestes dades d'altres fonts).

L'aproximació en vehicle es pot fer a partir de la C-563, on entre Gósol i Coll de Josa hi ha un trencall a N 42º 14.965' E 001º 39.492' on comença un curt camí de terra fins al parking (N 42º 14.915' E 001º 39.848'), que està a l'àrea recreativa de Font Terrers. Opcionalment es pot deixar el vehicle a la Plaça Major de Gósol i agafar el GR (marques vermelles i blanques) direcció nord, caminant uns 20' fins a la zona de parking.

Un cop a l'àrea recreativa, es pot apreciar un cartell informatiu al costat d'un camí, que és on comença la ruta d'aquest multi-cache. Uns metres més enllà hi ha el primer panell.

Waypoint 1 - Panell informatiu (N 42º 14.975' E 001º 39.717'): Tal i com indica el seu nom, la mallerenga petita es caracteritza per ser la mallerenga de mida més petita. La seva mida aproximada és de 1A,5 cm.

Waypoint 2 - Panell "L'alimentació" (N 42º 15.049' E 001º 39.669'): En aquest panell s'esmenta els seus principals aliments. Quin d'aquests no hi apareix?

Waypoint 3 - Panell "La reproducció" (N 42º 15.130' E 001º 39.630'): Aproximadament la mallerenga petita pon de 8 a C ous.

Waypoint 4 - Panell "Les caixes niu" (N 42º 15.276' E 001º 39.499'): En el panell apareix un dibuix d'una caixa niu. Quantes mallerengues petites hi ha en aquest dibuix tocant la caixa? N'hi ha D.

Uns metres més endavant s'arriba a una petita explanada (N 42º 15.288' E 001º 39.480') on es poden apreciar unes grans vistes. En aquest punt s'ha de girar a l'esquerra, on hi ha el camí de la ruta amb una fita.

Seguint el camí, més endavant hi ha un trencall (N 42º 15.208' E 001º 39.500'), on s'ha de seguir la direcció del cartell "Castell de Termes", pujant unes escales de fusta.

Waypoint 5 - Panell del Mirador del Castell de Termes (N 42º 15.208' E 001º 39.510'): Quina envergadura aproximada té l'Àguila Daurada en centímetres? 22Ecm.

Després s'han de tornar a baixar les escales i agafar altre cop el camí (baixant a l'esquerra). Entre aquest punt i la zona de Font Terrers, és on hi ha el cache final, que està a pocs metres d'aquest camí i és de fàcil accés.

Les coordenades del cache final són:

The coal tit (Parus ater) is a bird that even though seems to be fragile, resists well hard environmental conditions, and it's so common in mountain places.

The Ruta de la Mallerenga Petita (Coal Tit route), is a route in Parc Natural del Cadí-Moixeró, is perfectly signposted all the time. In this itinerary, the singing of the coal tit can be listened, see it maybe it's more difficult. The route is short and without unevenness, this allows a forest walk and enjoy good views without effort. It's a circular route, and from different informative panels that there is on the way, some data will have to be noted down to be able to find the cache (all panels are in catalan, english, spanish and french). It's not advisable to obtain this data from other sources.

The vehicle approach can be made from C-563 road, and between Gósol and Coll de Josa there is a detour at N 42º 14.965' E 001º 39.492' that starts a short dirt way until the parking (N 42º 14.915' E 001º 39.848'), at the Font Terrers recreational area. Optionally the vehicle can be parked in Plaça Major of Gósol and walk on the GR way (red and white paint marks) to North direction, walking 20' until the parking zone.

At the recreational area, an informative poster can be seen at the beside of a way, there starts de route of this multi-cache. Some meters beyond there is the first panel.

Waypoint 1 - Informative panel (N 42º 14.975' E 001º 39.717'): The coal tit is the smallest of the tit family. It measures some 1A,5 cm in length.

Waypoint 2 - "Diet" panel (N 42º 15.049' E 001º 39.669'): This panel enumerates some of their foods. Which of these foods does not appear in the panel?

Waypoint 4 - "Bird boxes" panel (N 42º 15.276' E 001º 39.499'): In the panel appears a bird box image. How many coal tits are touching this bird box? There are D birds.

Some meters beyond there is a little esplanade (N 42º 15.288' E 001º 39.480'), from here good views can be appreciated. In this point people have to turn to the left, where there is the route way with a milestone.

Following the way, more ahead there is a detour (N 42º 15.208' E 001º 39.500'), it's necessary to follow the "Castell de Termes" poster direction, rising some wood stairs.

Waypoint 5 - Mirador del Castell de Termes (N 42º 15.208' E 001º 39.510'): In this viewpoint there is a big panel. Which wingspan is Àguila Daurada (Aquila chrysaetos) in centimeters? 22Ecm.

Afterwards the stairs have to be brought down until the poster and turn to the right. Among this panel and the Font Terrers zone, there is the final cache, it have a good access and is very near from the way.
