kyhorselover: I can't get there to fix this one. Interesting that someone said they found it when it doesn't exist any longer....

Geocache Description:

You are looking for a camo coffee jug at a historical pull over area.

I was traveling to the Perryville Civil War battle site and discovered few caches on the way. For shame. So I picked one of my favorite sites on the way to the battlefield to drop a cache.

The Crawford House was used by Confederate General Braxton Brag as headquarters during the battle of Perryville on October 8, 1862.

Crawford Springs, that runs behind the house, furnished a vital water supply to CSA troops on the drought-stricken battlefield. Many say the battle itself was over access to water during a very bad year.

The house is abandoned and in sad shape. Do not try to enter the house or the other out building on the property. There is an historical marker and easy pull in and out egress to the area.

PLEASE RESEAL CONTAINER FULLY. Happy hunting!

CONGRATULATIONS TO SPI ADVENTURES FOR FTF!
