Der Meulenwald
Ein kleiner Mystery mit Durchblick
Der Meulenwald (Mühlenwald) ist ein bis zu 448 m hoher Höhenzug aus Buntsandstein der Südeifel.
Der tyrannische Erzbischof Milo von Trier(718-758), soll bei einem Jagdunfall im Meulenwald ums Leben gekommen sein. Man sagt, sein Geist spuke heute noch herum.
Ein weiterer Spuk im Meulenwald soll ausgehen vom Geist des römischen Statthalters und grausamen Christenverfolgers Rictius Varus, der im 3. Jahrhundert lebte.
Es gibt unzählige Wanderwege und Pfade über die man den Cache erreichen kann .Der kürzeste und steilste Anstieg beginnt beim Parkplatz am Heilbrunnen in Schweich .
Etwas leichter aber etwa doppelt so weit ist der Weg wenn man am Forsthaus Quint startet
Es gibt aber noch viele andere Möglichkeiten –findet es raus aber Achtung -manchmal führt einen der Geist des Rictius Varus in die Irre .
Um den Cache zu finden schaut euch die beiden Bilder an .Es sind Autostereogramme .Mit dem richtigen Durchblick sieht man die Koordinaten des Finals
Am Final hat man einen guten Durchblick durch eine Waldschneise in Richtung Trier
Der Cache ist mit Kinderwagen erreichbar aber wegen 200 Höhenmetern nur mit guter Kondition des Schiebenden
Der Cache liegt nicht an den oben angegebenen Koordinaten

The Meulenwald (Millwood)is an new red sandstone ,448 m high mountain range in the south Eifel
The tyrannic archbishop Milo from Trier( 718-758) died in a hunting accident in the Meulenwald .His ghost still haunts the forest
Another ghost in the Meulenwald is the roman proconsul and cruel christian persecutioner Rictius Varus, who lived in the 3 rd century.
There are a lots of trails to reach the cache .The shortest but steepest trail starts at the Parking area at the Heilbrunnen near Schweich .
Easier but double distance is to start at the Forsthaus Quint „
There a lot more options -find out , but watch out -sometimes the ghost of Rictius Varus will misguide you . To find the cache look at the two pictures. It's hidden in an autostereogram..With the right perspective you can see the final coordinates
The cache is possible with pushchairs.,but you need a good condition because of 200 m altitude difference
At the final you have a good pespective through a forest aisle to Trier .
