muddy legs: sorry to say this one is going to bed I live in a house right on the edge of the Waitrose car park in Lymington, Hampshire. A geocache has been placed on a Waitrose the lighting post just three metres from my kitchen window. It appears to have since been removed.
Please be aware that:
• Waitrose have not been approached for permission to use the car park as a geocache area.
• Waitrose would not have given such permission (I have checked with the branch manager).
• The lighting post is in a hedge that geocachers trample through in their search for the geocache.
• When (politely) challenged they become verbally abusive(it’s a neighbourhood watch are so a polite challenge is perfectly reasonable in the circumstances)
• Geocachers have been coming here at dusk and using torches to search for the cache.
• Geocachers are disturbing the nesting/breeding birdlife in the hedge.
