The area is part of the flood plain for the River Trent, so
whilst there are plenty of opportunities for the kids to feed the
swans, ducks, and geese, the approach area can be under water for
week or more if the rain has been heavy.
The cache site is well above the river, and can be reached using
good footpaths. It's a regular sized clip box with a load of kidz
swaps.
It's very close to St. Peter's church, and very close to the Church
parking area, so you may need to use stealth.
There are a plenty of places nearby to have a picnic, and play
games, you’ll pass by a pub or two, and also an ice cream parlour.
There are also some loo’s in Stapenhill Gardens.
The terrain is fairly gentle, and you can do them all on foot or
bicycle. As long as the ground isn’t too boggy they’re buggy
friendly too. It’d probably take under an hour to do all the caches
on foot, but you can also drive to separate car parks for all three
to make it a lot quicker.
