The "Restin" microcaches will take you to some beautiful, quiet churches and cemeteries throughout the Rideau Lakes region. More will be added as forgotten cemeteries are found.
Please show the utmost respect for the environment and the neighbours near these caches. Night caching is likely a very bad idea. Parking is always close to the site, and often just off the side of the road. All "Restin" caches are small (or very small) and though there was initially a pencil in the cache, you may be best to bring your own.
No clues should be necessary. Just look around carefully.
In the Maple Vale Cemetery you will find some very old graves of popular residents still in the area as well as names associated with local streets and other landmarks.
Remember that those sites adjacent to a church have busy periods - Sundays, weddings, etc.- and are best left alone at such times. They are also maintained frequently so discretion is advised, unless you are looking for your great great uncle of course. If you have to open any gates, please close them behind you. We wouldn't want any residents sneaking out at night.
