Cache is about a mile down the Tahoe Rim Trail, with an elevation gain of about 500 feet.
This cache is along the Tahoe Rim Trail south of Kingsbury Grade. It is located at an overlook that has a view of the Ridge Resort and the Carson Valley. It is now a decon container, and is positioned so snowshoers can also find it. To get to the overlook you'll hike about a mile down the TRT and gain several hundred feet in elevation.
Park in the Kingsbury South TRT trail head lot at the base of the Stagecoach Express chairlift. Follow the connector trail up to the TRT, then turn left.
Note: as 911-BrownFamily points out, the terrain difficulty on this one is somewhat higher if there is snow on the ground.
