Geocache Description:

This is the second in a (short) series of caches based on places I've crashed my mountain bike.
MTB Crash Site #1 - Iron Gate Trail
MTB Crash Site #2 - Bone Trail

Once again, I'm riding my mountain bike in Soaring Eagle Park mapping trails and such. I'm riding alone but I cross paths a few times with a male/female couple riding as well. At one point I am mapping some trails out on the east end when I come up behind them on the trail. I stop for a few minutes to give them some room before moving on. A while later I pass the female rider in a muddy section at the bottom of a hill. I continue on and a few minutes later I'm coming around a corner and don't see the rock sticking up out of the ground. My front tire stops at the rock but my body continued forward. I ended up almost eating the rock and my bike flipped upside-down and landed on its bars and seat next to the trail. I dusted myself off and righted my bike just in time to save face as the female rider rode by.

No, I did not end up in the ER this time.

The cache is an ammo can placed a few feet from the crash site.

You can find a trail map here and if you would like to see trails in your GPSr, check out the Northwest Trails Project. Both are courtesy of Moun10Bike.
