The cache is located on the Inland Trail of the Bold Coast Trail. It is about one mile from the Parking Lot or if you are doing the Short Loop it will be about 4.5 miles into your trek. There are no ocean views from this site, but I found the landscape rather unique. The cache is in a small to regular size container. You will not need to venture far, as the cache is on the trail.
The Bold Coast Trail features bedrock cliffs rising as high as 150 feet above the ocean providing scenic views of the Grand Manan Channel, the Bay of Fundy, and Grand Manan Island.
The trail is blazed, rooted and somewhat rocky. The trail will follow in and out of the woods along the cliffs above the ocean. The inland trail provides views of forests, meadows and a freshwater marsh.
Please be prepared for a hike. The trail is well marked but uneven. From the parking lot to the ocean and back is about 3 miles. The short loop is 5.8 miles and the long loop in over 10 miles. Know your limits and plan accordingly. Clif tops can be dangerous and undercut. Children should be supervised closely.
