Geocache Description:

Dentdale Train Spotting

This cache is perched on a hillside north of Cowgill and overlooking the Dentdale valley with Dentdale Railway Station and the Artengill Viaduct in the distance. Sit here with your flask and sandwiches and watch the occasional freight or passenger train go by. Blissfully quiet with stunning views on a clear day. You can pass this point if you're on your way up to the summit of Aye Gill Pike, a couple of miles further on. There is VERY limited parking in Cowgill, though a farmer does allow you to park at Ewegales Bridge for the princely sum of £3. As always, there's an awesome 'First to Find' medallion enclosed for one lucky cacher. Have fun!

And there's more.......

If you liked this cache there are many more 'Sykesfamily' caches in similar, awe inspiring locations scattered around the Yorkshire Dales National Park and surrounding valleys. So grab your walking boots, pack your sandwiches, leave your troubles behind and head for the hills .... Enjoy!!
