Geocache Description:

Mid size cache on a gravel road above Haywood Sub Station

Starting at the car park 50 meters down the road on the west side of Haywoods Sub Station, go through the locked gate (which is there to stop unauthorised cars only) and take the gravel fire break / service road for 30 - 45 minutes walk.
Its a bit of a up hill hike so moderate is required.

Perhaps of interest, 70,000 years ago this creek was the river bed for the Hutt River and emptied out into the Pauatahanui basin.
