Geocache Description:

Fillmore Canyon is one of the main canyons in the Organ Mountains, getting drainage and spring water from both Organ Peak and Organ Needle. During wet times, such as the last few months, Fillmore Canyon includes Fillmore Creek. It probably won't last long, but if you hurry, it's quite a sight. It may also be very impressive when the snow melts, although mud may be a problem.

Take the trail from the Cuevas Picnic Area at Dripping Springs Natural Area ($3.00 day use fee per vehicle). At the first trail fork, take the Fillmore Canyon Trail and stay on it until you reach the next trail fork. Take the fork up the canyon until you get to the upper canyon trail fork (see waypoint below). The cache is hidden in a great picnic spot near the Ft. Bliss boundary.
