Geocache Description:

Forde Abbey was founded over 800 years ago by Cistercian monks. After the Dissolution in 1539 it lay empty for 100 years before being transformed into the family home & award winning gardens it is today - open to the public and home to the tallest powered fountain in England.

Here is a two cache series to take you around the Abbey without entering the grounds and leading you to a bonus cache - a local map showing the Jubilee Trail may be useful

Now replaced for the third (!) time

This cache contains only a log and a pencil - plus half of the location of the bonus cache

Please replace the cache securely, the first & second were muggled.

You will need to climb a stile the access the footpath - please take all reasonable care in entering the field

TOP TIP - if you are driving through significant floodwater in the local area it's not the best time to seek this cache.

Please park sensibly, see the waypoint below for recommended location and take care not to block the coach turning place opposite the main gate.
