Replaced the box. Sun/UV Rays took it's tole. Added some Challenge Coins from NASA Neil A. Armstrong Flight Research Center, now get out there and grab one. Stuck In The Mud is back up and running, or ... uh... relocated. This is the third time this cache has been washed away by flash flooding. Off of Hwy 14 north of Cal City Blvd overpass. Can be accessed by any type vehicle, and 1/2 mile walk if parked at fwy turn off, or .2 mile hike from end of reasonably decent dirt road.
Placed a new cache north and out of the riverbed and updated the coordinates. When at the cache, look south to see the original Stuck In The Mud vehicle. Enter the original coordinates, N35° 13.608', W118° 2.722' as a way point and you will get a sense of how powerful this last flash flood was. The original location was about 100' on shore north of the original riverbed. It's now in the middle of the riverbed. Stuck in the Mud. You'll get a kick out of this. This is the first cache I've hidden. Subtitle could be, "Honest, Officer, I only had 8 beers!". The turn off is 8.54 miles north of the Cal City Blvd overpass on Hwy 14. When you get close, you'll cross a dry creek overpass, the turn off is next right. Go back south for 0.4 miles on fairly decent dirt road parallel to Hwy 14 to the riverbed. offroad vehicles can continue to the left, right to cache. Otherwise, walk 0.2 miles east down riverbed. Cache general location will be obvious. In the summer, be careful of snakes. This is the Mojave Desert!!
