Geocache Description:

This is a two-stage cache. The coords listed above will get you to the first stage. Once you find that cache, you must sign the log-book. The cache container has a piece of paper that will give you the coords for the second (and final) stage. The first stage is located along the Ohlone Wilderness Trail, on the Sunol side of Rose Peak. The final cache is located on the Del Valle side of Rose Peak. It is close to ‘Discovery Peak’, the highest peak in Alameda County. (Rose Peak in not the highest peak in the county in spite of the fact that it is so listed by the Alameda County Surveyor’s Office.) However, though listed in the GNIS database, you will not find Discovery Peak listed on any map.The total distance to be covered is approximately 23 miles with many thousands of feet of elevation change. Be sure to check the park's opening and closing times before heading out. I don't now remember but I think I left either a stock certificate for 100 shares of Shearson Lehman or a $2 bill as a reward for the FTF (they both have about the same value anyway). There are a few small trade items. Please re-hide both caches so they are very secure. I don't want a cacher to undertake this challenge and not find the cache.
