Please note update to description. The original cache is a very
small, flat container that now resides inside a glass jar to keep
critters with big teeth from eating it and added protection against
the elements. Its original reference was to Cyclone Larry. However
Cyclone Yasi has upset yet another grand tree and set it upon the
cache site. The original “grande master” is sadly
rotting away and while still safe as a hide is NO LONGER accessible
legally to us walkers. Notice sign on gate . No walkers on new sign
…so cache is currently located before the gate. Now, just
take a minute to think like a “Cacher” and a little bit
outside the square. It currently contains a log book ,the original
cache container , some small nik-naks, and balloons. You will need
to bring a pen or pencil to write in the log. Take plenty of water
with you if you intend completing the whole trail. There is a nice
large bench seat near the entrance of Rainforest Walk. Bring sturdy
walking shoes, insect repellant and plenty of water, Camera and
pen/pencil to log your find. Car parking available.at S:17P* 52.057
E: 146* 04.092. This is a National Park so Geo pets will have to
wait with the Geo transporter. Happy hunting. Enjoy the Rainforest
Walk. Closest Toilets and Picnic facilities are about 5mins drive
away at Lacey Creek.
