The original Endako Cemetery was located on the north side of Endako adjacent to the present Endako-Sutherland Forest Road.
Due to large underground springs the cemetery was later moved to this present location along with most of the burials from the original cemetery.
This cemetery was sub-divided off the Ed Dixon farm on May 4, 1927 by Vilhelm Schjelderup who was a Burns Lake surveyor.
It was officially opened by the Lieutenant Governor in Council on May 29, 1928.
It was declared abandoned in 1937 when a cemetery was developed in Fraser Lake by the late Walter Morley.
The cemetery is currently in the process of being restored.
Please be repectful of the property and its inhabitants.
The cache is not located within the confines of the cemetery.
