Adjacent to the trig beacon but on a level below, a lichen free, light coloured rock and piece of old cement marks the spot.
From the Helderberg Nature Reserve (at ±120m amsl) head for Disa gorge (last water stop) then zig-zag up Porcupine buttress, over the saddle and keep going along the contour path to the right to start your ascent via a badly eroded gulley then up to the top at 1137m amsl.

Nature reserve entry fee is payable at the gate @ R5 pp & R10 per car
