Geocache Description:

This is the first of a series of Caches around the Fylde....see if you can spot the connection...the rest will appear over the coming weeks and months.

Near to the cache you will find the home of some brave people - Eighteen awards for gallantry have been presented to the crews over the 155-year station history, including a Silver Medal for a rescue that saw the worst disaster in lifeboat history in 1886.

The cache is a 35mm film canister and uses magnets to keep it in place. Please be careful when locating the cache and even more so when replacing it.
