mitch.mob: Had a good look at the area today. The latest hide had been built against the very tree that was GZ. Found a pencil sharpener amongst the remains of the camp fire. Despite the interesting challenge this cache presents for navigation, enough's enough, it's time to archive it, albeit reluctantly. Miller Madness and raynruth are more than welcome to claim this as a find, albeit in the ashes!

Geocache Description:

This cache has been placed near a well hidden Trig Point which has
featured as a virtual cache ‘Ye Ole Survey Monuments –
Tyle-Du’ as YSM151. As a bonus, cachers will, therefore, be
able to log two caches in one trip provided they can find them!!

Most Trig Points are very easy to find because they are placed at
the highest points in the area with views to neighbouring Trig
Points. Tyle-Du is an exception! The area can be quite muddy and
boots are recommended. The shortest walk from a suitable parking
place direct to the cache site takes 10-15 minutes but the wrong
route choice could take a lot longer. The Trig Point is located in
a ride where GPS signals are reasonably good but the signal on
approach is under tree cover and will, therefore, be less reliable.
I have decided not to give any further clues for parking or route
as I am keen to read if your experiences are like mine when I
originally searched for the Trig Point. The cache is a 1 litre
clip-lock box containing a log book, pen, pencil and sharpener plus
various items for exchange.
