A short walk from the street...
My daughter is in Girl Scout/Brownie troop 187 & the troop
leader approached me & asked if we (my daughter & I) could
give a talk about Geocaching… Well how could we say no…
My wife & I talked it over & she thought it would be cool
if the girls made things to place in a cache… Then they could place
it & after the 1st of the yr go back & check it out to see
what might have been traded…
I called the parents of the girls to let them know about what we
were going to do & have them make or bring some items to the
Brownie meeting & to place in the cache…
L & I gave a talk about Geocaching & I printed up the
Geocache tri-fold brochures downloaded from Geocacher-u.com and
passed them out to everyone…
After a short talk we placed the item the girls made into the cache
container & I had a place picked out & marked in my GPSr as
to where it was going to be place… So we all headed out the door
& to the cache spot which was only 380 ft for the meeting
place… How convenient…
All & all it was a lot of fun & really easy…
I hope everyone that finds the cache logs what they took & what
they left so the girl can see how it works…
Thank you from Troop 187 & ka6aru (Jim)
PS… My daughter painted the cache container with the color that she
picked out herself because it is the same color as her Brownie
vest…
