How Geocaching Works

Geocache Description:

This is a simple two stage multi-cache. The first stage is a 25mm film type micro pot (with magnet attached) in which the co-ordinates to the second, and final, cache are provided. The second cache is a small magnetic micro – a short stroll away.

The route is generally over easy terrain although the grassy playing field may prove inaccessible to pushchairs/ wheelchairs in winter.

Parking

We suggest you park in a lay-by in Maldon Road (coordinates N 51° 41.330 E 000°25.200) opposite the entrance to the parish playing field.

This is within a few minutes walking distance from our Cache “All About Margaret”- GC1HGA2 so you may wish to walk from there or vice versa.

The Playground

The playground has a roundabout, seesaw, swings, basketball hoop, multi-hole ball hoop, shelter and a grassed area to kick a ball around. Its worth taking a ball if you are visiting with young cachers.

Please note the advice on the reverse of the coordinates in the first cache.

The original cache was a pot with tradeables. Regrettably due to access issues we have had to reset the cache with a micro. The clue to the first micro has also been changed due to muggling. However, we hope you still enjoy the hunt.
